I’m reading Holes by Louis Sachar and trying to understand the main conflict in the story. What is the central problem the characters face in the book?

The main problem in Holes by Louis Sachar is that Stanley Yelnats is unfairly sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention center, for a crime he didn’t commit. At the camp, the boys must dig holes daily under harsh conditions. Stanley eventually uncovers the camp’s dark secrets and breaks his family’s curse.
