Can Someone Explain the Distributive Property?

I’m having trouble understanding how the distributive property works, especially with brackets. Can someone give an example?

The distributive property means multiplying a number across terms inside parentheses.

Formula:
a(b + c) = ab + ac

Example 1:
3(4 + 2) = 3×4 + 3×2 = 12 + 6 = 18

Example 2:

5(x + 7) = 5x + 35

It simplifies math expressions easily!

The distributive property is a rule in math that lets you multiply a number by a group of numbers added or subtracted inside parentheses. It says that a(b+c)=ab+aca(b + c) = ab + aca(b+c)=ab+ac. This means you multiply the outside number by each number inside the parentheses, then add or subtract the results. It's useful for simplifying expressions and solving equations.
