What is the difference between afferent and efferent pathways?

I'm confused between afferent and efferent nerves. Can someone explain how they differ and maybe give an example of each?

Afferent pathways carry sensory information from the body’s receptors (like skin, muscles, and organs) to the central nervous system for processing. Efferent pathways transmit motor commands from the central nervous system to effectors, such as muscles and glands, to produce actions or responses based on the sensory input.
