What are triangular prisms?

Hi, I'm a bit confused about triangular prisms. Can someone explain what they are and give a few simple examples?

The triangular prism is a three-dimensional solid with two identical and parallel triangular faces and three rectangular ones joining the faces. It contains 5 faces, 9 sides and 6 corners. In geometry, the shape is commonly employed in exploring volume and area. One can use examples of tent-like, roof, and some optical prism in science.

A triangular prism is a 3D shape with two identical triangular bases and three rectangular faces connecting them. It kind of looks like a tent — the triangles are the ends, and the rectangles form the sides.
