I’m a bit confused about percentage calculations. Can someone explain how to find 1% of 1 billion and what the exact value would be?

Ten million (10,000, 000,000) = 1 percent (1) of one billion (1,000,000,000). This will be determined by multiplying 1, 000,000,000 by 0.01.

1% of 1 billion is 10 million. To calculate, multiply 1,000,000,000 by 0.01 (1 ÷ 100), which equals 10,000,000. This simple percentage calculation works for any number: 1% of a number is always that number divided by 100.
