In a hybrid work model, how do you ensure culture isn’t diluted?

Some of my team are remote, some office-based, and I feel the sense of belonging is slipping. What rituals or approaches have helped strengthen culture across different working locations?

Set clear shared values and communicate them consistently. Hold regular team check-ins, celebrate wins, and encourage cross-location collaboration. Create moments for connection, not just work tasks. Make leaders model desired behaviors, and ensure remote and in-office employees have equal access to opportunities and recognition.

Honestly, I try to keep a few simple rituals going like quick weekly check-ins and occasional virtual coffee chats so everyone feels included. Even small things like celebrating wins together on a call really help people feel connected no matter where they’re working from.

In a hybrid work model, culture stays strong when communication and connection are intentional. Regular team check-ins, occasional in-person meetups, and clear company values help keep everyone aligned. In my experience, simple things like casual virtual catch-ups or celebrating team wins online can make remote employees feel just as included as those in the office.

To maintain culture in a hybrid work model, consider these strategies: - Regular virtual team-building events and activities - Open communication channels for feedback and ideas - Set clear expectations and goals for remote employees - Foster a sense of community through shared projects and collaboration tools - Encourage in-person interactions and socialization when possible.

I've found that regular virtual team-building activities and company-wide video updates can really help maintain a sense of culture across both in-office and remote teams. Additionally, using collaboration tools that facilitate open communication and knowledge-sharing can also help bridge the gap and foster a sense of unity. Setting clear goals and expectations can also help remote employees feel connected to the company's vision and values. This helps prevent culture from getting lost in translation.
