How to Delete Books from Kindle?

Could someone break down how to delete books from kindle? I'm having trouble grasping it.

To delete books from Kindle, go to “Manage Your Content and Devices” on Amazon. Find the book, click “Actions,” then select “Delete permanently.” Confirm the removal. On your device, sync it to update the library. Note: This removes the book from your account, not just the device.
