I’ve learned about solids, liquids, and gases, but I’ve heard there might be seven states of matter. Can someone list and explain them?

Yes, there are 7 recognized states of matter: solid, liquid, gas, plasma, Bose-Einstein condensate, fermionic condensate, and quark-gluon plasma. Each has unique physical properties and occurs under specific conditions.

Yes, scientists are aware of seven states of matter solid, liquid, gas, plasma, Bose-Einstein condensate, fermionic condensate, quark-gluon plasma. The solids have fixed shape and volume, the liquids flow with their volume remaining, the gases expand freely and the plasma is an ionized gas. They exist in conditions of extreme conditions and display unique quantum or subatomic properties of matter.
