Chloroplasts – Plant cells contain chloroplasts for photosynthesis; animal cells do not. Vacuole – Plant cells have a large central vacuole for storage and turgor pressure; animal cells have small or no vacuoles. Shape – Plant cells are generally rectangular; animal cells are rounder and more flexible.
