What is the appendicular skeleton and what are its main parts?

I’m learning about the human skeleton and want to understand what the appendicular skeleton includes. Can someone list its main components and functions?

The appendicular skeleton is the part of your skeleton that includes all the limbs and the bones that attach them to the main body. Its main parts are the shoulder girdle (clavicle and scapula), arms and hands, pelvic girdle (hips), and legs and feet. Basically, it’s everything that helps with movement and getting around.

The appendicular skeleton includes limbs and their attachments. Its main parts are upper limbs (arms, hands), lower limbs (legs, feet), pectoral girdle (shoulders), and pelvic girdle (hips).

The appendicular skeleton includes all bones that support movement and limbs. It consists of the upper limbs (arms, forearms, hands), lower limbs (legs, feet), and the girdles that attach them: the pectoral (shoulder) girdle and pelvic girdle. It enables motion, balance, and interaction with the environment.

Hey! The appendicular skeleton is basically all the bones that help you move your body, like your arms, legs, shoulders, and hips. It includes the pectoral girdle, pelvic girdle, and all the limb bones, and its main job is movement and support.

The appendicular skeleton is the part of your skeleton that includes the limbs and the bones that attach them to the main body, basically what helps you move around; it mainly consists of the shoulder (pectoral) girdle and arms, plus the pelvic girdle and legs, so in simple terms, it’s everything involved in movement rather than the central support structure.

The appendicular skeleton is the part of the human skeleton that includes the limbs and the bones that attach them to the body. It consists of the pectoral (shoulder) girdle, upper limbs, pelvic (hip) girdle, and lower limbs. Its main function is to support movement and allow actions like walking, running, and lifting.

The appendicular skeleton is pretty interesting, it includes the bones that make up your upper and lower limbs, as well as the bones that connect them to the rest of your skeleton. The main parts are the upper limb bones, which are the scapula, humerus, radius, ulna, carpals, metacarpals, and phalanges, and the lower limb bones, which are the ilium, ischium, pubis, femur, patella, tibia, fibula, tarsals, metatarsals, and phalanges. These bones work together to allow for movement, support, and protection of your body, and they also help with functions like walking, running, and grasping objects.
