I’ve seen this term used in education and evaluation contexts.
Can someone explain what a standard assessment procedure is?
A simple explanation or example would help a lot.

A standard assessment procedure is just a set, consistent way of testing or evaluating everyone the same so results are fair and comparable, for example, giving all students the same exam under the same rules.

A standard assessment procedure is a structured, consistent process used to evaluate performance, skills, or knowledge. It typically includes clear criteria, standardized tools or tests, defined steps for administration, and objective scoring methods to ensure fairness, reliability, and comparable results across individuals or groups.

A‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ standard assessment procedure is basically a well-organized and uniform approach that is employed to measure the abilities, learning, behavior, or results through the use of already set standards and instruments, while at the same time it guarantees impartiality, trustworthiness, and the possibility of making comparisons of the results obtained from different individuals or ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌groups.

The UK government uses a Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) to measure residential buildings' energy and environmental performance, assign EPC ratings, and make sure building regulations are being followed.
