I would like to know the correct title or term used for someone who has earned a doctorate degree in education. Are they called a doctor or something else?

A person who earns a doctorate degree in education is called a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) or a Ph.D. in Education, and they are commonly addressed as Doctor.

A person who earns a doctorate degree in education is usually called a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) or a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Ph.D.), depending on the program. In both cases, they are formally addressed as “Doctor”, just like others who hold doctoral degrees.
