What is a good score for the NMSQT?

I’m trying to understand how NMSQT scores are evaluated.
What score range is considered good or competitive?
Any guidance would be helpful.

A good NMSQT score is usually 1400+, with 1450–1520 being competitive for National Merit recognition.

Your state and year are some of the determinants of a good score on NMSQT, although the higher your score, the more scholarship you are qualified to receive. Competitive scores will generally exceed national average by a significant margin.
