J Jaxenmoor Member Wednesday at 8:02 AM #2 2% means 2 parts out of every 100 parts. So, if you take 1,000 and want to find 2% of it, you divide 1,000 into 100 equal parts first. Each part would be 10. Now, take 2 of those parts (because it’s 2%), and you get 20. So, 2% of 1,000 is 20.
