I’ve run into a few common hiccups with UIC Blackboard, and here’s what I did to fix them:
Login issues – sometimes the system wouldn’t recognize my credentials. I double-checked my NetID and password and cleared my browser cache, which usually fixed it.
Slow loading or missing content – some pages took forever to load. Switching to Google Chrome or Firefox instead of Safari, and making sure the browser was updated, helped a lot.
Assignment upload problems – files wouldn’t attach. I made sure my file size and format met the course requirements and tried uploading during off-peak hours.
Notification settings – I wasn’t getting course alerts. I went into Settings → Notifications and made sure email and push alerts were enabled.
Most problems were browser-related or account-related, and a quick cache clear, browser switch, or checking file limits solved them.
