What are the Duke Requirements for Admission for undergraduates?

To get into Duke University as an undergraduate, you’ll need strong grades, especially in challenging courses like AP or IB classes. A high GPA, competitive SAT or ACT scores (if submitted), and great recommendation letters also help. Duke looks for students who are not just smart but also curious, involved in their communities, and passionate about their interests. A thoughtful personal essay is also very important.

For Duke University undergraduate admission, you must submit a Common or QuestBridge application with essays, official high-school transcripts, a counselor report, and two teacher recommendations. SAT/ACT scores are optional (test-optional policy). You should show a strong academic record, extracurriculars, and personal qualities. There’s a non-refundable application fee. Deadlines vary by Early or Regular Decision.
