Is microlearning better than traditional courses for skills?

I've been hearing a lot about microlearning apps that break lessons into small chunks. Do you think short bite-sized learning is more effective than following a structured full-length course?

It can be, especially for quick, focused skills. Microlearning delivers short lessons you can fit into a busy schedule, while traditional courses are better for deep, comprehensive study.

Microlearning can be more effective than traditional courses for building practical skills because it delivers knowledge in short, focused bursts that are easier to digest and apply immediately. It suits busy learners, helps with retention, and keeps motivation high, while traditional courses are better for deep, structured learning. Ideally, combining both methods gives the best balance of quick skill gains and long-term mastery.
