FaytechCC Blackboard notifications not working properly

I’m no longer receiving course updates or announcements from FaytechCC Blackboard. Has anyone else had this FaytechCC Blackboard notification problem, and how can it be fixed?
 
As of Fall 2025, Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) has completely transitioned from Blackboard to Canvas. Therefore, your Blackboard notifications are not working because the platform is no longer in use for FTCC courses.
 

  1. Log in to FaytechCC Blackboard.
  2. Go to Account Settings > Notifications.
  3. Make sure Email and Push alerts are turned on.
  4. Check your phone’s notification permissions for the Blackboard app.
  5. Update the app to the latest version.
  6. Log out, then log back in to refresh settings.
 
Check your Blackboard Notification Settings via the web browser first: $\rightarrow$ Activity Stream $\rightarrow$ Settings Icon. Make sure you have email and push notifications turned on for the tasks you require. Also, check your mobile device settings to confirm the Blackboard app is allowed to send push alerts.
 
If FaytechCC Blackboard notifications aren’t working, check your notification settings, confirm the correct email/mobile number, update the Blackboard app, allow device notifications, and clear cache or try logging in again.
