Comparing the Digital SAT and ACT Scores

Digital SAT and ACT scores are both scaled to a maximum of 1600 (SAT) and 36 (ACT). While the SAT emphasizes reasoning and evidence-based questions, the ACT includes a science section and is slightly faster-paced.

Digital SAT vs. ACT scores (short):
  • SAT: Scored out of 1600 (800 Math, 800 Reading/Writing)
  • ACT: Scored out of 36 (average of 4 sections)
  • Comparison: A SAT 1450 ≈ ACT 33
  • Both are accepted equally by colleges.
