I'm studying statistics and need help understanding the t-test table. How do I read it, and what do the values mean? A sample table or explanation would be great!
A table of t-test critical value lists the critical t values for the different degrees of freedom at the levels of significance. To assess statistical significance it is sufficient to compare the computed t-value to that obtained from the t-table.
A t-test table shows critical values used to determine if your t-statistic is significant. To use it, find the degrees of freedom (df) and your chosen significance level (α), then compare your calculated t-value to the table value to decide if you should reject the null hypothesis.
