States in Eastern Standard Time include New York, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and parts of others like Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana.
 
Year-round EST states/regions: Georgia, Florida (east), South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana (most), Kentucky (east), New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Washington, D.C.

There are certain sections of Tennessee, Florida (Panhandle) and Indiana: They switch between CST and EST.
