I’m studying chemistry and want to know the detailed electronic configuration of iron (Fe). Can someone provide the correct arrangement of its electrons?

The electronic configuration of iron (Fe) is 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁶ 4s² 3d⁶, often written in shorthand as [Ar] 4s² 3d⁶.

The electronic configuration of iron (Fe), with atomic number 26, is 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁶ 4s² 3d⁶. It shows that iron has two electrons in the 4s orbital and six in the 3d orbital.
