What is the difference between Marxism and Communism?

I’ve heard both Marxism and Communism talked about in political discussions, but I’m not sure how they differ. Can someone explain the main distinctions between these two concepts?

Marxism is a theory formulated by Karl Marx that studies class struggle, capitalism and social change. Communism is a system, or an object fitting for generalization, formulated according to the ideas of Karl Marx and based upon these ideas the classless and stateless society with carrier property. In a nutshell, Marxism is the theory, and Communism is the intended product.
