What does a tan graph look like?

A tangent (tan) graph looks like a repeating wave with vertical asymptotes where the function is undefined, such as at 90°, 270°, etc. It crosses the x-axis at multiples of 180°. The curve rises steeply to infinity and drops sharply to negative infinity between asymptotes.

A tangent (tan) graph is a periodic curve with vertical asymptotes where the function is undefined, at x=2π+nπ, n being an integer. It passes through the origin, rises to infinity, then drops from negative infinity, repeating every π\piπ units along the x-axis.
