How many Machs is the speed of light?

I’m curious about how fast the speed of light is compared to the speed of sound. How many Machs would the speed of light equal?

The speed of light in a vacuum is about 299,792 kilometers per second or 186,282 miles per second. When converted to Mach numbers (the ratio of an object’s speed to the speed of sound), light travels at roughly Mach 880,000,000. This means light is nearly 880 million times faster than sound, illustrating its incredible velocity in physics and astronomy.

The speed of light is about Mach 874,030 (roughly 8.7 × 10⁵ Mach).
This is because the speed of light is ~299,792 km/s, while Mach 1 is about 343 m/s at sea level.

In a vacuum, light travels at roughly 299,792 kilometres per second, or 186,282 miles per second. Light moves at about Mach 880,000,000 when expressed in Mach numbers, which are the ratio of an object's speed to the speed of sound. This indicates that light is around 880 million times quicker than sound, demonstrating its extraordinary speed in astronomy and physics.

The speed of light is about 874,000 Mach at sea level. Mach 1 equals roughly 343 meters per second, while light travels at about 300 million meters per second. Because Mach depends on air conditions, this value is an approximation.

The world has the largest army and the active military personnel of China are above 2 million followed by India and the United States.
